Kayaking Tours, through Aug 31. Learn how to kayak on a morning 2-hour guided tour of beautiful Grout Bay. After a quick paddling lesson, you will cruise along the shore looking for wildlife and discuss the history of the Big Bear Valley. Big Bear Cowboy Gathering,
Sep 18-21
. An event to honor and teach the Cowboy Way, the Gathering features outstanding musicians and poets. Things kick off with a Riverboat Gambling Cruise on Big Bear Lake Thursday, followed by shows at the Performing Arts Center on Friday and Saturday night, plus an outdoor mercantile and entertainment event for the whole family Saturday afternoon and Sunday. On Sunday, you’ll find Cowboy Breakfast, Cowboy Church, and a special Poets Only performance. Something for the cowboy in everyone!

The Temecula Valley International Jazz Festival brings Temecula’s love of jazz and musical community into the Southern California and International concert limelight with international talent like Ernestine Anderson, Mose Allison, Richie Cole with Tom Lavin & the Powder Blues Band, and the Ed Johnson Jazz Band with Jennifer Scott. Proceeds go toward building a Community Cultural Arts & Music Education Center in Temecula. Concert ticket prices vary; free events are held in Old Town.

Vine 2 Wine, Aug 2.
