Chautauqua, Sep 17-18. Chautauqua presents scholars who portray American historical figures discussing pertinent issues of their time. There is also time for audience participation with the characters. This year’s theme is “That Dam Depression.” On Sat, Doris Dwyer portrays famous photographer Margaret Bourke-White at 1:30pm. Scholar Frank Mullen portrays baseball player Babe Ruth, an icon of the 30’s at 6:30pm. Both performances are at the Boulder Theatre.

CrossVegas 2010, Sep 22. Heading into its fourth year, CrossVegas has become a fixture on the U.S. cyclocross calendar attracting almost 10,000 spectators to the stadium-like setting of Desert Breeze Soccer Complex in Las Vegas. The race takes place after the first day of the Interbike Show and attracts bicycling industry members from around the world as well as cycling and cross enthusiasts from throughout the U.S. Events include Men’s Race, Women’s Race and Wheelers & Dealers Race.
