BROOKINGS-HARBOR –
18th Annual Southern Oregon Kite Festival, Jul 17-18.
Watch nationally and internationally renowned kite fliers perform amazing routines choreographed to music. This free, two-day event also features free kids’ kite building workshops; vendors selling eats, treats, and crafts; and a kite auction banquet. Free parking and free shuttle provided. Location: Port of Brookings-Harbor.

NORTH BEND –
7th Annual Mill-Luck Salmon Celebration, Sep 4-5. Linked to the traditional observance marking the return of the salmon, this celebration began as a means of sharing the heritage, culture and traditions of the Coquille Indian Tribe and other Pacific Northwest Tribes. Special events include canoe races, a traditional salmon bake dinner, a Native American market place, children’s activities and an evening concert.
